Cross-site post deletion via tokenless tweetdel.php requests
Published May 25, 2026 · Updated May 25, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in Fyffe PHP-Twitter-Clone 1.0 allows remote attackers to delete posts through a victim's active session. The tweetdel.php handler accepts a POSTed tweet ID and executes the deletion after checking only for a session user ID, without validating a CSRF token or request origin. An authenticated victim must load attacker-controlled HTML; its automatically submitted form can delete any post ID, not only a post owned by that victim.
