CVE-2018-25361Public exploit

Passcode bypass via reusable encrypted database record

Published May 25, 2026 · Updated May 25, 2026

Authentication bypass in Soroush IM Desktop App 0.17.0 allows local users to unlock the client and access stored account data. The client accepts a pre-encrypted NO_PASSCODE record copied into its database log because database encryption uses a constant key across installations. Local write access to the current user's AppData database path is required; successful injection exposes chats, images, files, and account messaging.
