Authenticated code execution via incomplete extension blacklist
Published May 23, 2026 · Updated May 23, 2026
Arbitrary file upload in REDAXO Mediapool 5.5.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute PHP via crafted extensions. The Mediapool upload blacklist rejects php, php4, php5, php6, and php7 but fails to match obfuscated PHP extensions such as php53 and php71. An editor account with upload access is required; a successful upload places attacker-controlled executable content on the web server for code execution.
