Stored script execution via unsanitized forwarded IP
Published May 23, 2026 · Updated May 23, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in UserSpice 4.3.24 allows remote attackers to execute script in an administrator's browser via HTTP requests. The backup.php endpoint records the X-Forwarded-For header in the audit log without neutralizing attacker-supplied markup for HTML output. Exploitation requires an administrator to visit the audit log page, where the stored payload executes with that browser session's privileges.
