CVE-2018-25302Public exploit

Code execution via License Name SEH overwrite

Published Apr 29, 2026 · Updated Apr 29, 2026

Stack buffer overflow in Allok AVI to DVD SVCD VCD Converter 4.0.1217 allows local users to execute code via a crafted license name. The registration handler copies an oversized License Name string into a fixed-size stack buffer, overwriting the NSEH pointer and SEH handler. Exploitation requires local interaction with the registration dialog; clicking Register dispatches the overwritten handler and runs supplied shellcode in the application's user context.
