Unauthorized actions via unprotected merge-viewer POST
Published Apr 29, 2026 · Updated Apr 29, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in Merge PACS 7.0 allows remote attackers to alter PACS state through the merge-viewer web endpoint. The /servlet/actions/merge-viewer/summary handler accepts attacker-crafted POST submissions containing login credentials without an effective anti-CSRF check. Reachability requires access to the web interface and a crafted HTML form; the public record reports session hijacking and unauthorized PACS access.
