Application crash via oversized login credentials
Published Apr 26, 2026 · Updated Apr 26, 2026
Buffer overflow in CEWE PHOTOSHOW 6.3.4 allows attackers to crash the application through oversized login-dialog input. The login dialog copies a 4,000-byte string from either the email-address or password field without checking that the destination buffer is large enough. Exploitation requires access to the running desktop interface and interrupts only the PHOTOSHOW process; no data disclosure, modification, or code execution is reported.
