Local code execution via save-path SEH overwrite
Published Apr 26, 2026 · Updated Apr 26, 2026
Buffer overflow in iSmartViewPro 1.5 allows local users to execute arbitrary code via the snapshot and recording save-path field. The System Setup interface accepts a payload longer than 260 bytes and overwrites structured exception handling records with attacker-controlled data. Exploitation requires local access to paste the crafted text and save the setting, after which shellcode runs with the application's privileges.
