Application crash via oversized PNG buffer
Published Apr 26, 2026 · Updated Apr 26, 2026
Denial of service in Convertimagetotext.net JiNa OCR Image To Text 1.0 allows local users to crash the application via a malformed PNG file. The PNG-to-PDF conversion path processes a crafted 6,000-byte sequence as an oversized buffer instead of rejecting the invalid image, terminating the process. The attacker must be able to run the desktop application and select the crafted file; the demonstrated consequence is an application crash on 32-bit Windows.
