Application crash via oversized registration input
Published Apr 26, 2026 · Updated Apr 26, 2026
Buffer overflow in PicaJet FX 2.6.5 allows local users to crash the application by entering oversized registration data. The Registration Name and Registration Key handlers accept and process a 6,000-byte value without enforcing an input-length bound. Interactive local access to the Register PicaJet dialog is required, and the demonstrated consequence is application termination without reported data disclosure or modification.
