Session compromise via executable email data URIs
Published Apr 22, 2026 · Updated Apr 22, 2026
Cross-site scripting in IceWarp Desktop Client 10.3.4 and 11.0.0.0 allows remote attackers to run script when a crafted email is viewed. The email renderer accepts object and embed elements whose base64-encoded data URIs decode to executable HTML or SVG script instead of neutralizing them. Delivery is remote and unauthenticated, but execution requires a recipient to view the message; the script runs in the client session and can access session data or act with that session.
