Local application crash via oversized search string
Published Apr 4, 2026 · Updated Apr 4, 2026
Denial of service in EcoSearch Eco Search 1.0.2.0 allows local users to crash the application through an oversized search string. The search bar accepts and processes at least 950 characters without rejecting the oversized input, and the application terminates when a search begins. Exploitation requires interactive access to the Windows application and interrupts only that local application instance; no confidentiality or integrity impact is reported.
