Denial of service in HeidiSQL 9.5.0.5196 allows local users to crash the application through the SQL log file path setting. The Preferences > Logging dialog passes a 5,000-character SQL log path into vulnerable buffer handling and crashes when the setting is saved. Local GUI access is required to paste and confirm the path; the demonstrated impact is an application crash, not code execution or data modification.
