Administrator takeover via unauthenticated password reset
Published Mar 6, 2026 · Updated Mar 6, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in SourceForge Data Center Audit 2.6.2 allows remote attackers to reset an administrator password. The dca_resetpw.php endpoint processes updateuser, pass, pass2, and submit_reset POST parameters and changes the named account password without authentication or request-intent validation. Network access to the web application is sufficient; changing the administrator password grants administrative access.
