CVE-2018-25157Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Browser script execution via unescaped uploaded filename

Published Feb 11, 2026 · Updated Feb 11, 2026

Stored cross-site scripting in Alchemy Phraseanet 4.0.3 and earlier and 4.0.4-dev allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts. Uploaded filenames beginning with a double quote are stored and rendered without adequate output encoding, so an embedded SVG onload handler becomes active markup. A registered account can upload the payload, and guest access also reaches it when uploads are enabled; the script runs in the browser of users who view the affected interface.
