Root command execution via NcFTP ping injection
Published Dec 24, 2025 · Updated Dec 24, 2025
OS command injection in Microhard Systems IPn4G 1.1.0 build 1098 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands as root through SSH. The Microhard Sh service creates the fixed msshc SSH account and launches NcFTP as UID 0; its custom ping command passes shell metacharacters to the system shell without neutralization. Authenticated web-panel access is required to enable the reserved service, after which the fixed msshc credentials expose a root shell over the network.
