Admin account creation via unvalidated cross-site POST
Published Dec 24, 2025 · Updated Dec 24, 2025
Cross-site request forgery in Synaccess netBooter NP-0801DU 7.4 allows remote attackers to create administrator accounts through the web interface. The /adm.htm handler accepts a cross-origin POST containing add1, add2, add3, and adm0 account fields without a request-validity check. A logged-in administrator must load an attacker-controlled page, after which the new privileged account permits administrative changes to outlet power and configuration.
