Stored XSS in Trending Widget for MyBB 1.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts in visitors' browsers via thread titles. The widget reads database-backed thread titles and inserts them into its rendered HTML without output encoding or sanitization. Exploitation requires permission to change a thread title and a victim who views the trending widget; the script runs in the forum origin.
