CVE-2018-25131Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Browser script execution via unrestricted config upload

Published Dec 24, 2025 · Updated Dec 24, 2025

Stored XSS in Leica Geosystems GR-series GNSS firmware 4.30.063 allows attackers to run JavaScript in a viewer's browser. During configuration restoration, the upload handler accepts an HTML or JavaScript file without restricting its type and stores it under /settings, where a browser renders its active content. An attacker must be able to restore a configuration file, and the payload runs only when another user views the stored file in the affected site's security context.
