Unauthenticated PHP execution via installer configuration write
Published Jul 23, 2025 · Updated Apr 7, 2026
Code injection in osCommerce Online Merchant 2.3.4.1 allows remote attackers to execute PHP through the exposed installer. The unauthenticated install_4.php workflow writes a crafted DB_DATABASE value into includes/configure.php without neutralizing PHP syntax. Exploitation requires the install directory to remain reachable and the configuration file to be writable, after which including it runs the payload with web-server privileges.
