Unauthenticated code execution via unchecked file operations
Published Oct 16, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Authorization bypass in mndpsingh287 File Manager 3.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to read and upload arbitrary server files. The WordPress handler in inc/root.php exposes file-manager operations without checking the caller's capability before processing requests. No account or user interaction is required; uploaded executable files run in the web server's context, while downloads expose files reachable by that process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
