Wiki-tab redirection via unisolated external links
Published Aug 28, 2023 · Updated Sep 30, 2024
Reverse tabnabbing in glb Meetup Tag Extension 0.1 allows remote authenticated users to redirect a wiki tab through a Meetup link. Meetup.class.php renders group and event anchors with target="_blank" but only rel="nofollow", leaving the originating tab reachable through window.opener. Control of a linked Meetup page and a visitor opening the generated link are required; the attacker can replace the original tab with a phishing page.
