CVE-2018-25081Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Credential theft via unchecked cross-domain iframe autofill

Published Mar 8, 2023 · Updated Aug 19, 2024

Information disclosure in Bitwarden Password Manager through 2023.2.1 allows remote attackers to steal credentials through a cross-domain iframe. The browser extension checks the top-level page URI but not each embedded frame's URI, then fills the top-level site's credentials into a foreign frame. Exploitation requires attacker-controlled frame content on a matching page; page-load autofill removes interaction, while manual filling also reaches the frame.
