Unauthenticated memory corruption via stack buffer overflow
Published Apr 28, 2020 · Updated Aug 5, 2024
Stack-based buffer overflow in NETGEAR router and extender firmware allows unauthenticated adjacent-network attackers to corrupt memory. NETGEAR has not published the affected component, request field, or unsafe copy operation that overruns the stack buffer. Access to the same adjacent network is required; published sources do not identify whether exploitation causes a crash, code execution, or another outcome.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
