Authenticated compromise via stack buffer overflow

Stack-based buffer overflow in NETGEAR router firmware before the listed fixed builds allows remote authenticated users to compromise affected devices via crafted input. The vulnerable request handler copies attacker-controlled data into a stack buffer without sufficient bounds checking, overwriting adjacent stack memory. An authenticated user with access to the router interface can trigger the flaw; the advisory rates confidentiality, integrity, and availability impacts as high.
