Stack-based buffer overflow in NETGEAR router firmware before the listed fixed versions allows remote authenticated users to execute impact-causing memory corruption via adjacent-network administration requests. The affected request handler copies attacker-controlled input into a fixed-size stack buffer without sufficient bounds checking, overwriting adjacent stack memory. Exploitation requires valid administrative authentication and adjacent network access; successful exploitation can compromise confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the device.
