Memory corruption via pre-authentication stack overflow
Published Apr 27, 2020 · Updated Aug 5, 2024
Stack-based buffer overflow in NETGEAR EX2700, R7800, WN2000RPTv3, WN3000RPv3, and WN3100RPv2 allows attackers to corrupt memory. NETGEAR has not disclosed the affected request handler, input field, or unsafe memory operation; affected firmware is EX2700 before 1.0.1.28, R7800 before 1.0.2.40, WN2000RPTv3 before 1.0.1.20, WN3000RPv3 before 1.0.2.50, and WN3100RPv2 before 1.0.0.56. Adjacent-network reachability without authentication is required, and exploitation can read or alter device data or crash the device.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
