Unauthenticated arbitrary command execution
Published Apr 23, 2020 · Updated Aug 5, 2024
OS command injection in affected NETGEAR router, gateway, and extender firmware allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands without authentication. NETGEAR has not published the affected request handler, input parameter, or shell-command construction that fails to neutralize attacker-controlled data. Access from an adjacent network is sufficient, and successful exploitation can disclose or alter data and interrupt the device.
