Authenticated command execution via undisclosed injection point

Published Apr 21, 2020 · Updated Aug 5, 2024

Command injection in NETGEAR D7800, R7800, R8900, R9000, WNDR4300v2, and WNDR4500v3 firmware allows remote authenticated users to execute commands. The vendor has not published the affected interface, input field, or command-construction flaw. Exploitation requires high-privileged authentication from an adjacent network and affects D7800 before 1.0.1.34, R7800 before 1.0.2.42, R8900 and R9000 before 1.0.3.10, and WNDR4300v2 and WNDR4500v3 before 1.0.0.54.
