CVE-2018-21126

Command execution via undisclosed input handling

Published Apr 22, 2020 · Updated Aug 5, 2024

OS command injection in NETGEAR WAC505 and WAC510 before 5.0.0.17 allows remote attackers to execute commands via adjacent-network requests. NETGEAR has not disclosed the affected request handler, parameter, or operation that passes attacker-controlled data to an operating-system command. Exploitation requires adjacent-network reachability but no authentication or user interaction, and successful commands can read or alter device data or interrupt service.
