Lock-screen bypass via screen-lock unpin option
Published Apr 8, 2020 · Updated Aug 5, 2024
Incorrect authorization in Samsung DeX Station on Android 7.x allows local users to bypass App Pinning and the device lock screen. Selecting “Use screen lock type to unpin” causes DeX Station to accept the screen-lock path without preserving the authorization boundaries enforced by App Pinning. Local access to a docked, pinned device is required; successful exploitation exits the pinned app and passes the lock screen.
