Authenticated secret disclosure via unredacted manifests
Published Apr 9, 2020 · Updated Aug 5, 2024
Information disclosure in Argo CD before 1.5.0-rc1 allows remote authenticated users to read Git-stored Kubernetes secrets through API calls. The GetManifests API path returned Git-generated Secret manifests directly instead of passing each Kubernetes Secret object through HideSecretData. Exploitation requires an authenticated Argo CD account and discloses stored secret values and other manifest content that the account is not authorized to view.
