Authenticated technical information disclosure through error messages
Published Feb 14, 2020 · Updated Aug 5, 2024
Information disclosure in Hitachi Command Suite before 8.7.1-00 allows remote authenticated users to expose technical data through errors. Hitachi identifies error-message generation as the disclosure path but does not publish the affected endpoint, code locus, or mishandled input. Hitachi Automation Director before 8.5.0-00 is also affected; exploitation requires a valid account and network access, and the documented consequence is limited to technical-information disclosure.
