HTTP service hang via crafted Cookie header
Published Mar 20, 2020 · Updated Aug 5, 2024
Denial of service in ASUSWRT 3.0.0.4.384.20308 allows remote attackers to hang the httpd service via a crafted HTTP request. The handle_request function processes a crafted asus_token Cookie header and blocks in an fgets call instead of completing the request. No authentication is required; a reachable web interface is sufficient to interrupt router administration through the affected service.
