Code execution via proxyDoAction race condition
Published Jan 7, 2021 · Updated Aug 5, 2024
Race condition in Foxit Reader before 9.5 and PhantomPDF before 8.3.10 or 9.x before 9.5 allows attackers to execute code or read data. The proxyDoAction function processes a large integer or long string without safe synchronization, producing a stack buffer overflow or out-of-bounds read. Triggering the affected opcode requires crafted input and a successful race; resulting code executes in the application process, while an out-of-bounds read exposes process data.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
