Command injection in the ping command on Poly Trio 8800 5.7.1.4145 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands as root. The ping handler passes its host argument, including shell metacharacters, into /system/bin/sh -c without neutralization. Access requires Telnet credentials; successful injection grants root control over the embedded device.
