CVE-2018-17058Network attack vector

Authenticated code execution via filename validation bypass

Published Mar 2, 2020 · Updated Aug 5, 2024

Unrestricted file upload in JABA XPress Online Shop through 2018-09-14 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary ASPX code. ProductEdit.aspx relies on frontend filename validation, while FileUploader.aspx accepts a crafted upload with empty w and h parameters and stores it under the web-accessible ProductImages path. A valid account is required to upload the file, but subsequent retrieval and execution of the server-side code require no authentication.
