Privilege escalation in Tizen before 5.0 M1 allows local users to install, decrypt, or terminate other packages through pkgmgr. The pkgmgr system service's D-Bus policy permits unprivileged processes to invoke package-management operations without the intended access restrictions. Code already running on a device, including Galaxy Gear firmware before build RE2, can cross the package-management privilege boundary and compromise other applications.
