Script execution via unneutralized login request input
Published Oct 15, 2021 · Updated Sep 11, 2024
Cross-site scripting in Mitsubishi Electric Europe B.V. SmartRTU allows remote attackers to execute script via a crafted login.php request. The login.php response fails to neutralize attacker-controlled username or PATH_INFO content before browser interpretation. No authentication is required to supply the input, but a user must open the crafted response; the script can read or alter data available to that browser session.
