Unauthenticated root execution via unchecked POST parameters
Published May 14, 2019 · Updated Oct 21, 2025
Command injection in LG Electronics N1A1 NAS 3718.510 allows remote attackers to execute commands via HTTP POST parameters. The /system/sharedir.php and /en/php/usb_sync.php scripts concatenate uid and task_number, respectively, into shell commands without sanitization. Neither endpoint requires a valid session, and unrestricted passwordless sudo permits root execution when the web interface is reachable.
