CVE-2018-14520Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Stored XSS via unsanitized page title

Published Aug 24, 2022 · Updated Jun 17, 2025

Stored XSS in Kirby CMS 2.5.12 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute script through a crafted page title. The add-page title field accepts a script payload without neutralizing it, stores the value, and renders it when the resulting page is opened. Low-privileged Panel access is required to store the payload, and a user must open the created page; successful exploitation runs attacker-controlled JavaScript in that user's browser context.
