CVE-2018-11106

Pre-authentication command execution via request handler

Published Apr 1, 2020 · Updated Aug 5, 2024

Command injection in NETGEAR WC7500, WC7520, WC7600v1, WC7600v2, and WC9500 firmware allows attackers to execute system commands. The flaw resides in request_handler.php, but NETGEAR has not disclosed the affected parameter or how untrusted input reaches a system command. The handler is reachable without authentication from an adjacent network; affected firmware is before 6.5.3.5, or before 2.5.0.46 on WC7520.
