Memory corruption in GNU adns before 1.5.2 allows remote attackers to crash calling applications or expose process memory via DNS responses. The pap_mailbox822 parser fails to check the status returned by adns__findlabel_next before using an uninitialized stack value as the first label length. Exposure is limited to applications issuing non-raw SOA or RP queries, with outcomes including excessive allocation, a crash, memory disclosure, or a buffer overrun.
