Temporary URL disclosure via unredacted proxy logs
Published Jun 2, 2021 · Updated Aug 5, 2024
Information disclosure in OpenStack Swift before 2.15.2 allows local users with log access to obtain reusable TempURL signatures. The proxy-logging middleware records the complete request path, including the temp_url_sig query parameter, without masking the signature. The TempURL middleware must be enabled, and disclosure requires read access to proxy logs; a valid unexpired signature grants its encoded object access.
