Unauthenticated code execution via SOAP XML deserialization
Published Apr 24, 2017 · Updated Oct 21, 2025
XML deserialization in Oracle WebLogic Server Web Services allows remote attackers to execute code via crafted HTTP requests. The wls-wsat endpoint processes attacker-controlled SOAP WorkContext XML through XMLDecoder, invoking objects and methods specified in the request. No credentials or user interaction are required; affected releases are 10.3.6.0, 12.1.3.0, 12.2.1.0, 12.2.1.1 and 12.2.1.2, with data access bounded by server permissions.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
