Root command execution via unvalidated web fields
Published Apr 3, 2026 · Updated Apr 3, 2026
OS command injection in the ProSoft Technology ICX35-HWC web interface before 1.3 allows remote attackers to execute commands as root. Several web interface fields pass submitted values to system commands without neutralizing command syntax, causing the gateway processor to execute injected input with root privileges. The built-in interface is reachable over the cellular network, so exploitation requires network access to that management surface and grants full command execution on the appliance.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=0 <=1.0
- Affected versionversion=0 <=1.1
