Root command execution via unsanitized network settings
Published Jan 7, 2026 · Updated Jan 7, 2026
OS command injection in FLIR PT-Series HD firmware 8.0.0.64 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands as root. The unauthenticated controllerFlirSystem.php endpoint passes network-settings POST parameters through execFlirSystem() to shell_exec() without sanitization. A network path to the camera's HTTP service is sufficient; injected commands run with root privileges and can fully control the device.
