Unauthenticated file disclosure via unrestricted readFile path
Published Jan 7, 2026 · Updated Jan 7, 2026
Path traversal in FLIR Thermal Camera F/FC/PT/D firmware 8.0.0.64 allows remote attackers to read arbitrary local files without authentication. The /var/www/data/controllers/api/xml.php readFile() method accepts a caller-supplied file path, checks only that it exists, and passes it directly to file_get_contents(). The network-accessible /api/xml endpoint requires no credentials, exposing readable device files, including configuration and credential stores.
