CVE-2017-20202Known exploitationNetwork attack vector

Credential theft via DGA-loaded malicious scripts

Published Oct 8, 2025 · Updated Oct 8, 2025

Embedded malicious code in Web Developer 0.4.9 allows remote attackers to steal credentials and hijack browser traffic. Injected content.js logic waits ten minutes, generates a daily domain, and retrieves ga.js over HTTPS for conditional follow-on script loading. Exposure requires installation of compromised version 0.4.9; its browser privileges enable ad substitution, fake repair redirects, credential exfiltration, and additional payload delivery.
