Recipient-address disclosure via unsanitized To fields
Published Nov 5, 2023 · Updated Aug 5, 2024
Injection in Magnesium-PHP 0.3.0 and earlier allows attackers to disclose recipient addresses through crafted email or name values. formatEmailString in src/Magnesium/Message/Base.php interpolates unsanitized values into a Mailgun To string, allowing recipient syntax to be injected. Exploitation requires a consuming application to accept attacker-controlled recipient data; a malformed To string can add unintended recipients or expose other users' email addresses.
